Newlyn is a busy fishing port, with a famous artistic heritage & a vibrant local community. It has everything you need including some of the freshest fish anywhere in the World, an artisan cheese shop that also sells fantastic bread, a local greengrocers, a florists, a pizza restaurant, a brilliant fish and chip shop, a bakers, a pasty shop, a famous ice cream shop, a wine bar, an artisan coffee shop, a great sea food restaurant called Mackerel Sky, pubs, galleries, a local co-op, a chemist and a fantastic Art house cinema with a restaurant.

The Lookout is opposite the Newlyn Art Gallery (originally built by the founding members of the Newlyn School) which is today twinned with the Exchange in Penzance.

There are great walks straight from the door: turn right to Newlyn harbour and on to Mousehole, Lamorna and Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre.

Turn left and stroll along the Green onto the Prom and Penzance, Marazion andSt Michaels Mount. The sea will be on your right all the way and you will have fantastic views of Mounts Bay.
