What’s On

January

January is a bit of a challenge for a lot of people but, as I write this there are clear blue skies from my window and it can be a positive time to make some plans. The days are getting longer and the local daffodils have appeared in Newlyn outside the hairdressers door, next to Newlyn Fermentary . They are a £1 a bunch and you put the money through the letterbox. Nice and simple way of doing business. This always reminds me that Spring is on its way.

The beaches and the coast paths are pretty empty so plenty of opportunities for walks by the ocean with or without your furry friends. Also rates are much more affordable at this time of year if you fancy a quick last minute getaway, it won’t be silly money.

There are quite a few things going on in January and I have listed a few below. It is also a good time to book places to stay and also events that will get booked up. I have posted the 2024 Minack schedule for those of you who want to jump in and book yourself in. I will also post some other schedules once I learn to work the tech.

It’s also a good time to book places to stay as there is plenty of availability and this time of year, so please take a look at out places and see id any of them take your fancy

Come Build a Boat at The Exchange

“If parts of a wooden ship are replaced one by one, until all the original components have been substituted, is it still the same ship?”

This thought experiment, referred to as The Ship of Theseus, was notably published by Plutarch the Ancient Greek historian and essayist in the first century CE.
